Our free-ranging hens and roosters eat all-natural food and their chicks are particularly healthy for it. We sell fertilized hatching eggs of various size and color, a veritable rainbow of natural hues including green (which are layed by our Ameraucanas). Our hatching eggs are a mix of any of the following (depending on which girls are laying at the time we collect eggs for shipping): Ameraucana, Marans, Barred Plymouth Rock, New Hampshire Red, Game Hen, Black Australorp, Silver Laced Wyandotte, Japanese Bantam, Rhode Island Red, Leghorn, Buff Orpington, Black Orpington, Cochin, Silkie, Ancona and several others. Chicks may be pure or they may be mixed -- hard to know since all our birds range together. Hatching eggs can be shipped anywhere in the United States, but Hawaiians must obtain an entry permit for the eggs. Please note that your eggs ARE NOT guaranteed to hatch. We are a rescue organization with nearly as many roosters as hens -- the eggs you are purchasing are definitley fertile. When our chickens hatch their own eggs the hatch rate is always above 90%. Although the majority of our customers get excellent hatch rates, your hatch rate will ultimately depend on factors outside of our control, not the least of which is treatment of the eggs by the Postal Service during transportation. Price is for one dozen eggs and includes Priority (2-3 day) shipping and insurance in the event your eggs are misdirected or lost by the Postal Service.
